Vintage Tinplate + Plastic Friction Highway Patrol Helicopter, Nomura Toys, Japan, VGiBA nice large vintage tinplate and plastic friction drive Police HighwayPatrol Helicopter Toy with black and white tinplate cockpit, clearplastic screen and blue plastic pilot figure, black, silver and bluetinplate rear engine with lithographed detail, red plastic fuel tanks, white plastic rear frame and fold-down tail section with rearrotor, and red and yellow rotors, made by the NomuraToys (T.N.) C...o. in Japan in the original box. It was probably made in the 1950’s or 60’s. In very good to excellent working condition, the tinplate is in excellent condition with minor playwear and marks and the friction drive works well, moving the helicopter forward and turning the main rotor. The plastic parts are also invery good condition with just some fatigue to the rearfold-down section (looks to have had a repair). The helicopter measures an impressive 21 inches long by 5 wide and 7 inches tall with a rotor width of around 17 inches. It is marked with “Highway Patrol” just behind the red tanks and “P.D.” on the sides of the cockpit.Marked with the Nomura Toys “T.N.” trade mark and “Made in Japan” on the left side (viewed from front) of the engine housing, just behind the cockpit.Comes in a very good original box, also fully marked and with nice images, just some damage to the ends.Please see my other vintage items listed. A nice large vintage tinplate and plastic friction drive Police Highway
Patrol Helicopter Toy with black and white tinplate cockpit, clear
plastic screen and blue plastic pilot figure, black, silver and blue
tinplate rear engine with lithographed detail, red plastic fuel tanks,
white plastic rear frame and fold-down tail section with rear
rotor, and red and yellow rotors, made by the Nomura
Toys (T.N.) Co. in Japan in the original box. It was
