Vintage Singer 221 Featherweight With Case and original singer Featherweight Attachments. Machine is in working conditions and sews smoothly & quietly. Only cosmetic blemish I've noted is a slight chipping of paint at the base of the frame under the hand-wheel. Serial Number indicates the unit was 1 of 20, 000 commissioned Feb 19th, 1947 in Elizabethport, New Jersey. Overall condition indicates, for its age, the machine has had very light usage. Although still functioning, the... drive belt is old and should be replaced. These are readily available through local sewing machine service centers.
The travel case is original to the machine and is functional but in fragile condition showing signs of prolonged storage. The hardware (hindges & latches) are still functional but have some corrosion. The handle is intact but badly worn.
The machine comes with several attachments (see pics) believed to be all original to the machine. There is no owner/operator manual included but one can be downloaded from the internet and I have seen original copies listed on eBay. The power cord and foot peddle are in excellent condition and fully functional. Among the accessories is a small metal needle holder which I have rarely seen.
