This is a 1996 Gary Fisher X Caliber vintage mountain bike that is in nice, hardly used, and good operating condition. This is a handmade in the USA bicycle produced before GF was bought out, and besides being a great race bike by any standards, is arguably a piece of mountain bike history. It features a 24 speed Shimano drive train with Gripshift shifters, LX front, and XT rear derailleurs. It has forged Sugino Impel aluminum alloy cranks, and sure stopping Dia-Compe Power Control lev...ers with Shimano LX cantilever brakes. The tires are 26 inch Tioga Psycho front and rear specific all terrain type that are mounted to Weinmann BCX-1 aluminum alloy rims that spin smooth and true, with presta tubes. It is equipped with a smooth operating Manitou Spyder front suspension fork. The bike shows minor signs of wear, mostly small scratches from being moved around in the garage, but is in incredibly nice shape for its age, and is in good operating condition mechanically. The USA made True Temper OX1 Ultra light weight steel frame measures 18 inches from the center of the cranks to the top of the seat tube, and has a 31 inch stand over height, which is a size medium and would be a good fit for riders in the 5' 4'' - 5' 10'' range. The bike is tuned and ready to ride.
