Vintage Cousances Dutch Oven Cast Iron #31 France Enamel Pot Solid Brown 8 Quart
Wonderful vintage 1950's brown enamel cast iron Dutch Oven by Cousances - Made in France. Model is #31 approx 8 qt capacity. Very heavy 18 lbs. Has been used but really great condition for age. Some light discoloration on underside of lid, some use marks inside pot but no crack or chips or flakes off enamel inside. Exterior shows few light flakes which is typical considering how large and heavy this ite...m was to use! Pot measure 5 1/4" high by 15 1/2" handle to handle, pot area is 12 1/2. Some enamel wear on top of lid but not all the way through. May need cleaning etc. This was produced in the 1950's before Cousances was taken over by Le Crueset. The enamel back then was far superior to that of the pots made today.
