Up for auction is this rare hand painted and decorated cranberry / rose glass miniature kerosene oil lamp complete with original 6 line Komos burner and matching shadeStands approx 13&1/2 inches tall including the chimney, 10&1/2 inches to top of shade . The widest part of the lamp is the top of the shade which is 4&1/2 inches in diameter and the lamp is 3&1/2 inches diameter at the base.There is NO damage to the glass, NO chips, NO cracks and no burst bubb...les. Base of font has the usual mark in the centre from manufacture.Complete with original brass collar and 6 line size kosmos burner with a globe trademark ( S.P. Catterson, London ) . The burner is fully working with good wick which winds smoothly and correct glass chimney .Burns brightly, and without smell so long as you use clean paraffin. Instructions for use included . Hard to find in good working condition and with all the parts matching, pretty and would make a good Christmas present.A very attractive lamp and hard to find.A rare example for the collector !
