Here are 2 GUY'S DROPPER bases that have 2 DIFFERENT Maker's Marks stamped on the bottom.  One has "MANUF'D BY SHANKLIN MFG. CO. SPRINGFIELD, ILL. U.S.A." and the other has "UNIVERSAL LAMP CO. SPRINGFIELD, ILL. MADE IN U.S.A."  Please see pictures!  Both bases are used and have some dings and evidence of use.  Universal bought Shanklin in 1933 and added bottom edge ridge.  Both bases are circa mid-1930's.  Interesting items for your collection.  ...Winning bidder is to pay $3.95 postage including Delivery Confirmation.  Good luck bidding!
