Cardboard box of Hurd's Mourning Stationery, made by George B. Hurd & Co., fine paper manufacturers, New York. In the box, there is one packet of paper envelopes, 12 envelopes in the packet with the original paper band. There is a second packet of envelopes, again with 12, but the paper band is broken. The envelopes, all with black borders, measure 4" x 2 1/2" and are of high quality paper. There are three blank black bordered white pieces of stationery, folded in... half. As folded, 5" x 7" and open you get 4 sides and it measures 10" x 7". Finally there are at least 50 sheets (I didn't stop to count them) of black bordered white unused stationery, folded like the other sheets and measuring 7 3/4" x 5". Again they open for 4 sides of writing area. Weighs over 1 pound before being properly prepared for mailing. CONDITION - The papers/envelopes are of the highest quality and very usable. No problems to point out as they have been protected by the box. The box has scrapes and major stains, but is intact. From a pet free and smoke free home-the items have no odor. Also a virus free home. Really nothing else like this on ebay.
