Up for sale is a beautiful Lie Nielsen #2 Bronze Bench Plane. This plane is modeled after the Stanley Brdrock 602 plane but is cast in bronze. It has the Bedrock ramped frog mounting and the frog screws behind the frog, just like the Bedrock.
The Bronze areas of the plane are clean and shiny, with no noticeable marks or scratches. The knob and tote are unmarked. The blade had not been sharpened but I honed it sharp.
The plane belonged to a woodworker who passed ...away and I bought it from the estate. The Lie Nielsen #2 Bench plane is out of production - if you look at Lie Nielsen's web site their offering of bench planes starts at the #3.
It's a beautiful, rare plane in like new condition.
