For sale is a genuine, like-new, 14” carcass saw by a world class saw maker: Bad Axe Tool Works. Bad Axe refers to this as the “bayonet” precision carcass saw, a reference to its longer plate when compared to similar backsaws. This saw was a custom build that I requested, but in my downsizing I’ve found it just doesn’t get used enough due to my growing preference for vintage tools. This one needs to go to a good home.This saw is in great condition apart from some very light s...cratches or small blemishes on the plate (see photos for example). The handle is crafted from striking black walnut, and set in place with beautiful traditional brass saw nuts. The saw back is folded steel and plated with titanium nitride for a durable finish that has the traditional look of brass but the longevity of modern materials. The plate is 14” inches in length, filed for cross-cutting.
