I am thinning out my plane collection. Actually, I'm not a collector more of a user trying not to become a hoarder.
Opening Bid is $49 plus shipping
With a good sharpening, the plane will work well and will be a good and affordable tool for someone who is unable to spend nearly $500 for a new Lie-Nielsen. The sole is flat and the walls are square. The knob and tote are in good condition, with...out any cracks, or significant chips. All articulating parts (lever cap, lateral adjustment lever and depth adjustment wheel) work smoothly. There is no pitting or significant rust. The white residue in the congregations of the sole and all other flat surfaces is wax applied for rust prevention. There are two places of minor damage on one of the side walls, at the toe and heal (see pictures) where small pieces broke off. The toe sidewall break appears to have been ground smooth, the heal break does not. The breaks affect appearance only and have NOT compromised the function or structural integrity of the plane.
