Original Description:
Vintage Lufkin 50 foot Chrome Clad Steel Surveyors Tape with original wood handle. This is a very cool original measuring tool. The measuring tool measures about 10" inches long from the top of the handle to the bottom of the frame. The round reel of the measuring tape measures about 4 3/4" inches in diameter. The frame of the tool still has it's original bluing and is in nice condition. There is some pitting visible on one side of the frame which is normal for it's age. The wood ...handle is in good condition and has some scratches and dents visible from normal use. The chrome clad tape measure is still shiny and the measuring increments are very visible. One side of the frame reads " The Lufkin Rule Co. Saginaw, Mich Made in the USA" and "ATLAS CHROME CLAD". The other side of the frame reads "HARDENED STEEL FRAME" . On top of the tape measure it reads "LUFKIN No. 599 Made in USA".  This is a very cool tool in beautiful original condition.
