Vintage Stanley No 4 Corrugated Bottom Plane, Type 8 With “S” Casting, 1899-1902. Plane is in great condition. Iron has been honed to 16000 grit and took the shaving you see that measures .001” thick. However there is some pitting on the back near the bevel but none on the front. The bevel should really be ground back about 1/4 to get past the pitting. I don’t have a good grinder and doing it back hand would take a long time. Beautiful and unusual Rosewood tote is mostly the li...ghter coloured sapwood from the outside of the tree. Front knob is beautiful but does have a very small hairline crack at the bottom. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
