Let me first state, I'm not real knowledgeable on planes, so please ask any questions you might have. This is a Stanley jack plane that measures about 15 inches long and is 2 ¾ inches wide. It is stamped Bailey Stanley Rule & Level Co. No 27 on the front end. The handle is solid and has normal wear. The low knob is also solid with normal wear and darkening. The wooden body has normal wear and finish loss, but is in solid condition. The lever cap and blade are in good condition wit...h normal wear. The blade is stamped Stanley Pat. Apl 19, 92. The blade adjustment lever is stamped Stanley. The bumpy type lever cap has no markings. The wooden bottom is pretty smooth. I did use a little WD40 and linseed oil to wipe it down. This plane shaves pretty well, because I did test it out on a piece of wood.
