A Fine Pair of Antique Vietnamese Rattan Bound Dao Truong Executioner Swords.
A lovely pair of antique dao truong. Originating from Vietnam and made in the second half of the 19th century. The blades ae forged and both decorated with several symbols and motifs. The handles are wrapped in rattan which is more seen on Vietnamese examples.
This pair dates from the Nguyen Dynasty.
Condition: Very good, minimal signs of use and ware and a great patina.
