Original Description:
An old and well used transitional wood plane by the Stanley company.  I believe it is number 27 and was patented sometime between 1860 and 1880. I believe all the parts are original and complete. It measures 15” long and 6” to top of handle. It is well used but would make an excellent specimen for restoration to add to a collection.  No apparent damage to any of the parts.
