This auction is for a small handmade Cedar Chest/Box made in the 1960’s. I don’t know much about the history of this box other than it was my father’s and stayed in the top of his closet where us kids couldn’t reach it. On the underside of the lid it a label saying made by Lane Cedar Chest Altavista, VA, apparently for a company named Bough & Garner inc. One of the 4 felt slides is missing from the bottom side and the lid has a circular dark stain from a beverage being sat on t...he box, see last picture. The locking mechanism is intact however I do not have the key. Hinges are in very good condition. This really is a cool little box. Makes a Great conversation piece. Measurements are 4X4X9”.
