A 19th century Japanese Meiji period lacquer box and cover.. Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class.
A 19th century Japanese Meiji period lacquer box and cover. Decorated in gilt with scrolling leaves, flowers, motifs and symbols. The inside lid decorated in gilt and with an antique label, the box base with further spray gilt decoration and fabric lined interior. Some wear and losses to the decoration as per the photos. Couple of small chips to inner box rim.
2.5 inche...s high and the top is 3 inches square.
