Vintage Pickett N600-ES Log Log Duplex Slide Rule, Pocket-size with Leather Case. Made in the U.S.A. Condition is "Used". Some corrosion on the slide rule edge, and the metal ends, as can be seen in the photos. The actual numbers or lines are not affected by this flaw.
This vintage slide rule has five scales on each side, allowing for the ability to perform multiple different mathematical functions with this instrument. It is five-inches long and has a leather sleeve/case. On the en...d of the slide rule, the brand Pickett & Eckel, Inc, Chicago, Ill., and the date shown is 1962. This branding and date can be seen in the photos. The slide rule model is N600-ES, where ES indicates "eye saver" yellow for the color of this aluminum slide rule.
According to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History collection object description, "it's compact size and large number of scales made this model popular with engineers who had excellent vision.
