You are bidding on an original verynice and very old copy of "Spicy Detective Pulp Magazinefrom February 1938". It has a great full color risqué coverof an attractive well-endowed redhead by a safe with her dress hiked up toshow her stocking tops and garters. A menacing shadow of a figure with a gunappears to have caught this woman attempting to open the safe behind her. Atrue Spicy Detective mystery as to what this beautiful redhead in the low cutdress was up... to. These Spicy Detective pulps were quite risqué (for the time)and this one is no exception. Equally fascinating is the interior content pagethat depicts several drawings of bare breasted attractive women. Additionally, the stories have are also a number of full page line drawings of great lookingwomen in various stages of undress. The content page also lists the stories andtheir authors but the stories are not the reason to but this great pulp. It'sthe cover art and risqué drawings. The condition is very niceconsidering it is 82 years old. It is complete. There is a small piece of cleartape at the lower base and top of the of the spine and someone wrote"38" - obviously the year" and some other small notations butthey do not detract from the eye appeal of this pulp cover as if you arestaring at small pen marks instead of the cover art, I would suggest this pulpis not for you. This pulp displays very well. It is solid and does nothave any loose pages. These pulps were never expected to survive for 82years as they were printed on newspaper and to find one in such nice shape isnot common. The attrition rate due to a mom or a wife finding and disposing oflurid Spicy Detective pulps must also account for their scarcity. I wouldhandle any 82 year old pulp magazine with great care (or not at all) as theyare all fragile to a greater or lesser degree. This incredible pulp should beprofessionally framed as its cover is just superb. Please use the photos tojudge the condition for yourself.
