The Singer Manufacturing Company was founded in 1851 and to celebrate their 100th year anniversary Singer Sewing Centers across the country featured many specialty items in 1951. One of them was this particular retractable tape measure. I have looked on the internet for this item and only found 1 other for sale without the original box. This tape measure is flawless with no scratches, no dents, and comes with the original box. To find this item in the condition it is in is extremely ra...re especially in the original box and with the alligator clip still attached.I would like someone who appreciates vintage singer memorabilia to have this item. I found a website who sells this particular item but they are out of stock and they do not have the original box and they are selling this for $185.99 with the box.
