Original Description:
Sasieni's "Buckingham" is an absolute classic, similar to a Dunhill 03 in that it is a quintessentially English well proportioned Billiard. This one carries a patent number at the end of the shank but is hard to read and also carries the XS designation indicating a higher priced pipe at original retail typically due to superb grain pattern or size. The bowl carries extra thick walls with a chamfered inner edge on the rim and leads to a healthy chamber with plenty of capacity. The bowl ...feels perfect in hand, nice and wide while flat on the bottom making for a nice setter. Shank is chubby and relatively long meeting the original Four Dot vulcanite stem with fishtail bit. Finish as indicated is Natural although more of a Walnut in my opinion with a lovely warmth and depth while the briar shows loads of birdseye on the left side with starburst on the right that transitions to cross on the front and rear. A beautiful Sasieni Patent Buckingham XS ready to smoke!

Condition: Excellent. Inner edge of rim has a couple small nicks. Briar has some light scratches/dings. Stem fits tight but has a very slight gap between it and the shank face.  Weight: 44g
