Up for your bid is a nice, used IBM Z50 Workpad laptop. It is in good physical and working condition. Would be a great addition to your collection, or to pound out mad spreadsheets all day long. The main battery works and holds a good charge. The backup battery needs to be replaced, but I believe it is just a button cell battery. The keyboard is in good condition, but you may want to replace the rubber tip on the pointer, as it has hardened over the years. The backlit screen works grea...t, but has all of the ghosting and splotchiness you remember from the late-90s. It actually looks pretty good once it warms up. you can find all of the specs online (if you don’t already know them). I measured the screen at 8” diagonally. It has 49MB of memory to share between storage and programs (no HDD). Comes with the Pocket versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, all version 3.0. The WorkPad was tested to charge and power on, and for basic functionality. None of the card slots or modem were tested. I believe that this was the only IBM product to ship with Windows CE. All in all, it’s a cool, well-built little conversation piece. Due to age, it is being sold as-is. It comes with a non-OEM charger. No other accessories or items included.
