PH. Vigen is one of Denmark's finest high grade pipe carvers of all time starting his career working with Former at W.O. Larsen. He went on to a short stint with S. Bang before going into a long term career with Pipe Dan where he carved pipes stamp with his own name as well as Pipe Dan's as seen here with this amazing squashed Tomato. It's a lovely pipe, profoundly Danish with smooth lines and a wide bowl that is comfortable in the hand. It has extremely thick walls and the rim curves ...inwards to a modest round chamber. Shank is short and round and slightly slanted downwards to meet the long down-turned vulcanite stem. Finish is classic Danish orange while the briar displays 360 degree straight and flame grain while the bottom is completely covered with birdseye. A gorgeous pipe from the master PH. Vigen this one promises an exceptional smoke!
