For your consideration is this incredible, hand made Cribbage Board from a soldier in the U.S. Army's 14th Infantry while serving (or fighting) at Bacoor, Philippines in 1899. It is unknown if the piece was made by the named Soldier, or by a local while the U.S. Army was in theater. Either way, the craftsmanship is impeccable, and this piece is one-of-a-kind. It is in exceptional condition as shown and has minor associated with age and use. The full text is "Edward Harney Co. F. ...14 U.S. Infantry, Bacoor, P.I. July 29, 1899." There is also "Peking" etched on the left side. It looks like this text was done with a different instrument and may have been added at a later date. Perhaps this same soldier took place in the battle of Peking in 1900 as well... Guess we'll never know. Please see our high-resolution photos for exact detail and condition.
