Here is a great Vintage 1950’s USS NEREUS ZIPPO ADVERTISEMENT LIGHTER that I recently purchased. This came from the estate of an old US Navy Pilot Veteran. It is in good-decent used condition with normal wear including scuffs/scratches, wear from use, discoloration from age, etc (see pics). There is a small ding on the top. Lighter is engraved with U.S.S. NEREUS AS 17 and FACIENDUM FACIEMUS and shows a man holding a missile with a fish in the background (engra...ved). It is marked on bottom BRADFORD, PA. ...ZIPPO.... PAT. 2517191 PAT.PEND. (which dates it between 1950-1957 I believe). Original ZIPPO insert. Untested. Sold “as found” so can be cleaned up to look even better! SOLD AS IS.
