I bought this drive shrink-wrapped as new, unopened - just to swap the drive's plastic outer shell. I am a little anal and wanted my SCSI Zip drive to have a new, unscratched plastic shell.
For all intents and purposes, this is a brand new zip drive - new mechanism, power cord, and parallel cable. The purple plastic shell has been swapped with one that has some minor scratches.
