Vintage 1961 Dunhill Shell Briar (127) F/T 4 S (1960/1)This is agreat example of an early classic Dunhill billiard - a masculine and muscularpipe that feels perfect in the hand.  Madein 1960/61, this 127 is a Group 4 with a deep, thick bowl that will remain cooland dry during your smoke.  It hasconsiderably stout proportions with a deeply craggy sandblast that has agedwell with a great patina.  The pipe isin good condition.  The beautifullygrained bowl has some rim ...darkening and is slightly worn down near thefront.  The original stem is shiny andblack with some minor markings on the bottom near the button.  Please see the photos.  The stem fits tightly and maintains a tightdraw. The pipe is well balanced and feels very comfortable in the hand andshould provide a nice long smoke.   This is an amazing pipe to add to yourcollection for either display or to smoke for many years to come. Markings: On the bottom of the shank is stamped “127” over “2”then  “F/T” near the bowl, then “DUNHILL”with “SHELL BRIAR” underneath.  Furtherout on the shank is “MADE IN ENGLAND” with a “0” and raised “1”, circled 4 andR near the bowl.      
Dimensions: 5-1/2” long, 2" tall, 1-1/2" wide, with a 7/8"chamber diameter.  Weight: 52 grams  Stem: Vulcanite While not anexpert, I’ve cleaned and sanitized this pipe using professional techniques andpolished it with carnauba wax.  I’ve donemy best to describe/show the entire pipe, but please ask if you have anyquestions.  I will carefully package yourpipe for shipping so it arrives in the same condition.  AttentionInternational Buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included inthe item price or postage cost.
