A very rare example of one of the first RONSON pocketlighters, the PARAGON.
American, ca. 1918-1920's.
Chrome plated body has advertising: J.J. HOCKENJOS CO.
Original striker wand complete with cotton.
Marked on one edge:
PARAGON, A MODEL OF PERFECTION, TRADE MARK REG.
Marked on the other edge: PAT. P'D'G., THE ART METAL WORKS, NEWARK, N.J.
Very fine used condition, with very few signs of use. Lighter should work, butneeds flint and fluid.
