Handsome vintage western or rustic style Ranch Oak sideboardor china cabinet or hutch cabinet by A. Brandt. It is in wonderful vintagecondition. It is compr...ised of rustic solid ranch oak that is signature to A. BrandtCompany furniture. The base of the cabinet, or the buffet part, has fourdrawers in its center with a door and drawer above that on each side. The hutchtop has two double opening doors with glass inserts perfect for display. Thecabinet’s details show the high quality of this solid wood piece. Each door anddrawer on the buffet have a ranch oak carved handle and the hammered hinges area nice detail as well. The knobs on the upper are hammered to match the hinges.This is beautiful storage and display whether you use it for dishware, acollection, or books. A Brandt Company was established in 1900 by German immigrantAugust Brandt. But it was Paul Brandt, August’s son, who engineered and debutedthe Ranch Oak furniture in Fort Worth, Texas in 1938. Paul served as companypresident for approximately 50 years. The production of the Ranch Oak linecontinued until the mid-1980s. It was used in ranch homes, mountain homes, duderanches, and basement rec rooms across the nation. The US government contractedRanch Oak furnishings for many of their military bases.
