Joanies is very excited to be offering a large four-day important family estate collection. This prominent family of Doctors resided in China between 1890-1960 and during this time acquired a vast array of rare and important objects that have never been offered until now. This includes a vast array of As...ian art examples, fine jades, snuff bottles, bronzes, porcelain, important Archaic works, and more.
A number of the items being offered were scheduled to be sent to New Yorks’s high end auctions, but due to large sale delays this year the estate had asked us to offer All the items. A great and rare opportunity to acquire some investment-grade examples.
Over the past 20 years Joanies has hosted Hundreds of estate auctions, auctioning upwards of a hundred thousand fine estate items during this time. Up for auction is a VERY RARE 2500BC CHINESE OLIVE GREEN JADE CEREMONIAL BLADE DAO NEOLITHIC PERIOD. Part of an important estate collection being offered this week that includes an impressive variety of fine antique snuff bottles and archaic jades.
A fine and guaranteed authentic Neolithic period ceremonial Dao blade. The blade is a rich yellowish green color. A fine example to handle and study in person. We have included images taken in natural sunlight. It is Well Worth looking into this blades value, which we believe could be substantial.

Condition: Estate-fresh imperfections consistent with early age as seen overall substantially good and intact. UV light reveals no hidden damage or repairs.
Size: The blade measures 8 3/4-9 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide and 3/16th of an inch thick weighing 136 grams.
