Greetings and thanks for looking at this amazing 1901ish AR Brown 80-drawer bold cabinet piece. As you can see from the pictures, this bolt cabinet is beautifully displayed in my front entrance; however, we are moving into an apartment (job change) and want to see it go to a great home. This item was purchased in an estate sale 2017. It is well over 100 years old and in amazing shape. It is an antique so the buyer needs to understand that there are some imperfections ...to include, minor scratches, scuffs, and dings. That said, the cabinet is beautiful. We do have the rotating pedestal but it needs some refurbishment. This item was purchased in an estate sale 2017.
The brass plate says “A.R. Brown, Erwin, TN, Patented May 7, 1901. Now I cannot say this was built in 1901, but it appears to be from the early 1900’s.
Dimensions:36” Tall (without pedestal) 23 1/4” wide on square sides26 3/4” wide on octagonal side
There are two drawers that look to be either replacements or the brass plate is missing (pictured). All of the porcelain drawer pulls are attached and in good order. There is a pedestal that allows the cabinet to rotate. It’s not being used now as it needs some work. It is included in the sale.
Shipping: This item is heavy and will need to be professionally delivered. It will also take some time (4 to 6 weeks - hopefully quicker) for delivery. Continental USA only. No International offers or outside the contiguous USA accepted.
I am estimating $500 for the shipping as this item has some weight and will need great care in moving. Previous to purchase, I wish to have a discussion regarding shipping, as the $500 is only an estimate. I have discussed shipping this item with a freight vendor and the cost is variable based on buyers location.
It is not fragile by any means; however, this is a hardwood creation, and I want to make sure it arrives in the same condition as it leaves my home. I will allow a pickup in my home near Manitowoc, WI.
Lastly, this item is an antique so it is being sold “AS-IS” and there are no guarantee. I will take returns and the buyer is responsible for return shipping, and a restocking fee of 15%. This is a beautiful piece.
