I believe this Parker was made in the late 1950's to early 1960;s but is definitely pre-Hardcastle merger. Parker was still incredibly popular during this time producing exceptional English smokers. This one is the rather rare shape 801 not easily found, a fantastic straight Dublin. It has remarkably thick walls surrounding about a Group 4 size chamber. The classic shaped bowl feels well balanced and transitions to a thick round shank that is quite long and tapers slightly to meet the ...original vulcanite saddle stem with "P" diamond logo and fishtail bit. Parker's Root Bruyere is much like a Dunhill Root Briar, same light natural finish while the grain displays lovely sweeping flame on the flanks and the front of the bowl has incredible layered "3D" birdseye that is really quite amazing. Clean throughout with minor handling marks this Parker is a gem and ready to smoke!
