VINTAGERONSON DE-LITE AUTOMATIC PETROL POCKET LIGHTER early model C1928TheDe-Lite was a hugely popular pocket lighter produced by Ronson ArtMetal Works of Newark New Jersey during the late 1920s and throughthe 1930s Thislighter is marked Ronson De-Light on the base and the flint screw ismarked Art Metal works Newark NJ USA. The flint wheel fulcrum screwis the one sided version and this lighter still retains a fullyautomatic action. Thepatent was originally first applied for in 1928. Th...ismodel is an early single fulcrum screw version and with 2 screwfitments in the base for fuel and flint, which have enclosedscrewdriver or coin slots Thebody is nickel plate and just a little dull. It could possibly havebeen gold plate and fitted with the original dark brown leather wrap. There are no dings or dents. Thelighter measures 48mm high x 41mm wide x 14mm deep and the fuel screwand flint screw are full body width fitments.Themechanism works well. The flint and fuel screws are original withonly very slight usage marks.Ofall original manufacture but untested with fuel and flint but shouldoperate correctly when these are added.
