This Farm Home style table, or sometimes called a Refectory table measures 12' long by 42" wide and 29 3/4" high. The top is constructed with six, 1 7/8" thick solid planks attached with bolts and dowel plugs over the bolts. The table legs are tapered square and attached using mortise and tenon joints. There is some use of steel trim and bolts. The set includes twelve side chairs and two armchairs all of which have three plank flat seats, three rectangular vertical flat back spla...ts, and square uprights. All of the chairs have mortise and tenon joints. Overall the table and chairs show some use and wear. The table legs have some slight cracking in the wood grain. Neither the table or chairs show any refinishing or restoration. Based upon the details and photographs provided this style and construction of the table and matching fourteen chairs appears to date from the mid 1600's to the early 1700's. Table and chairs have been professionally appraised, please see attached appraisal.
