Hardcastle was founded in 1908 by Edmund Hardcastle. Dunhill started to build a factory next door and the company had sold 50 percent of it's equity to Dunhill. By the mid 40s the brand was completely owned by Dunhill.
This is stamped Old Bruyere which we all know is a plus with these smokers, and the beautiful finish that compliments the nice grain on this briar pipe is convincing enough that this pipe will live up to the expectations. It has a small stinger lik...e knob but if you are leary of stinger there is no need to worry it has a big opening for an easy draw and is shaped to be effortless to keep clean. It's a great standard bent billiard, just the right size and weight that is is full in the hand and comfortable at the same time. It's very much a classic British pipe and is deserving of a new home that will put it to good use again.
