Item: Antique Federal Hepplewhite Chest of DrawersPeriod: Federal, circa 1810Origin: AmericaDetails:This charming survivor from the early 19th Century is made of walnut and likely hails from the Northeast. The chest has four graduated, chamfered, dovetailed drawers over a shaped apron on splayed feet. This particular piece has a wonderful rustic charm about it--a less is more quality. It would look amazing in just the right spot.Condition: The chest of drawers is in very good... condition. The metal work has all been replaced. There has been restorative work done to the back left foot. There is some age related separation at the apron that can be seen in the photos. There are other minor scratches, dings, and various surface imperfections that one would expect to find on a genuine antique of this age.
