Here is a Recent Estate Find. This is a Rare Original Antique 1800's Large Brass Surveying Engineering Transit Level with Original Wooden Case, made by W & L.E. Gurley Co. Troy NY. This is Signed by the Maker, as Pictured. This Was Originally Sold by Ledder & Probst, Inc. Surveying Instruments Boston Mass. The Transit Measures approx. 20 1/4" Long x 8 1/4" Tall. The Box Measures approx. 22 1/2" Long x 9 1/2" Tall x 6" Deep. This Includes a Couple Extra Optic Lenses, as Pictured.... The Box has Wear and the Strap is Broken, But The Transit Itself is In Good Original Condition With a Great Aged Patina, As Pictured. Click and Enlarge Photos for Details! Don't Pass This One Up!
