Antique Pittsburgh Reverse Painted Floral Scene Table Lamp - Handel Era
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:27277191 | Featured Refinements: Antique Table Lamp |
I have owned many Pittsburgh reverse painted ...lamps and will say it is a shame that they do not command the interest and value that their Handel and Pairpoint counterparts do. Take this one, for example. It is a beautifully painted, well designed, and just great looking lamp with highly detailed yellow and red roses against a frosted white background. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in just about any setting. This is a full sized table lamp with a 16" diameter shade that stands 21 1/2" tall. The shade is in excellent overall condition with no chips, cracks or even flea bites at all. The base has its original sockets and hardware and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a very nice and clean example of a great looking Pittsburgh floral lamp with a great rose theme that is in absolutely excellent overall condition and that lights up just beautifully. It will surely stand out on any table you put it on and will be the center of conversation wherever it sits. I can ship this one with full insurance to any of the contiguous United States for $75. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, please contact me for a shipping quote. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. I am a collector of these myself and always try to offer nice examples to other collectors. I am not making a living at this so can afford to offer things up without reserve or list them at very fair prices so that other collectors can appreciate them as much as I do. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you want a nice quality antique old one at a fair price, you have found the right seller. One last note. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that's fine. But if you are watching hoping I am going to reduce my asking price, that isn't likely to happen as I honestly believe I am asking a very fair price for this. Keep in mind that ebay is one of the only auction venues that does not charge the buyer a premium for purchases like this and if you were to buy this from pretty much any other auction house you could expect to pay a 20-30% buyer's premium on top of this asking price. Still, if you are seriously interested in this lamp and want to discuss this price or some kind of payment plan (which I would gladly accept), please feel free to email me about it and I am sure we can work something out.
