Rare All Original Antique 1920s SABA Bucherer 8" High Character Man Figure with Original Clothes!
Unusual Uncommon Face and Outfit - Haven't Seen This One Before so Don't Know What Person or Character He Is Supposed To Be.
Made in Switzerland.
Features the Classic Articulated SABA Bucherer Metal and Composition/Wood Body with Felt and Cloth Clothing. The Felt Clothing (Vest, Pants and Boots) Is Especially Susceptible to Age - It's Amazing It's Held Up. The Felt Vest Is Apart a...t Shoulder on One Side and Along the Side Seam on Same Side. (See Photos) Looks Like the Felt Vest Pieces Were Glued Together? The Knee Joint in the Left Leg Seems Looser than the Tighter One in the Right Knee and Doesn't Seem to Articulate Quite as Much. But Doll Is Poseable and Stands on Its Own. Fingertips on the Right Hand in Particular Seem Broken Off (See Last Photo).
I Have Not Tried to Clean and Have Not Removed Clothing Except to Pull Up Shirt as Shown in Photo to See Manufacturer Markings on Metal Torso. (I Didn't Want to Compromise the Condition of the Outfit.) The Black Boot Gaiters Are So Form Fitting That I Think They May Be Glued On?
