IlluminatedArabic Manuscript of Jazuli’s Guide to Good Deeds, Signed & Dated. al‑Jazūlī, Abū `Abd Allāh Muhammad Ibn Sulaymān Ibn `Abd ar‑Rahmān (died in the Islamicyear 870, corresponding to 1460 AD). DALĀ'IL AL‑KHAYYIRĀT (Guide to GoodDeeds). This is one of the most famous books of prayer in Islamicliterature.  126 leaves (253 pages); 8 lines to a page; in clear and handsome maghribī script, in brown ink, with headings and keywordsin yellow or gold.  Th...ere are six ornateheadings with two miniature sketches depicting Mecca and Madina.   Thereare six ornate heading, indicating the seven days during which, the book shouldread.It was written by `Abd al-Kabīr Ibn Muhammad al-`Amrūqī (?) during themonth of Sha`bān in the year 1205 of the Islamic calendar, correspondingto April 1791 AD.Size: 11 x9.5 cm. bound in contemporary morocco, with and defects.  Opening leaf is missing.  A few leaves are repaired with non-acidicpaper.
