Hand Crafted Yokuts Native American Coiled Large Basket Createdfrom Gathered Native American Plants,  Circa 1900 – 1925 8 inches high x 13 1/2 inches in diameter Condition; Good: This basket is complete with some wear. Howeverit does have areas of smoke stains mostly on the exterior, and what appears tobe cooking stains on the interior of this basket. Description: Yokuts, and other California cooking baskets, wereused to prepare acorn mush, the staple and essentia...l basic energy providingfood of most of California’s indigenous tribes. This example is both useful andbeautiful.
