Lovely homespun grain sack fabric from Europe, Freshly laundered! A lovely , very old European textile, with many decades of heavy use still left to give! ~*~ ~*~ ! This gorgeous fabric dates from the early to mid to late 1800's and is a high quality, hand-woven European hemp. This fabric has a medium open weave with wonderful slubby nubby texture!~ Very very heavy , lovely slubby nubby weave! So much beautiful texture in this stunning ant...ique hand-woven fabric and the tone is a lovely , pale straw tone! ~ ~*~ ~*~ perfect for upholstery, curtains, table runner, pillows, and many other gorgeous uses!! ~*~ ~*~ VERY high quality, very durable and totally machine washable! So wonderfully durable, built to withstand generations of use ~*~ would make the most amazing slipcovers, upholstery fabric, clothing, curtains, blinds, you name it! ~ *~* ~ just wonderful natural fabric~*~* Eco-friendly ~*~* Please see attached some of the many projects that have been created by my designers and customers using my textiles! ~*~* Lovely freshly laundered condition~ about 100 years old! ~*~( I have attached some photographs of some projects done in my linen, lovely indeed! not included with this purchase, just meant to inspire! ~*~ )MEASUREMENTS : This bolt of hand woven Vintage/ Antique European hemp/linen measures 11.2 yards long by 19.5 inches wide~*~*CONDITION: I've freshly laundered this gorgeous fabric and it's ready to use ( not ironed )~ This bolt has a few small, pale marks that didn't fully wash that are easily worked around for upholstery projects etc ~ they are small , and pale, but there in a few places ~*~ ~Please see my store page “ About Hand-woven, Homespun Yardage” for more information on these wonderful textiles ~ This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my back stock is vast and I can almost always match much larger quantities for large projects~*~ ~*~* *~* ~*~You will never have to pay any Customs or Duty charges on my textiles posted to an address within the United States, as I have already imported all of my European textiles and have paid any fees for you~*~ My shipping is always fast, so you can expect your purchase to arrive between 1-3 days after payment within the USA~*~~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains, clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, warm..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also! If drying in the dryer, just be sure that the roll isn't getting tangled up on itself in the dryer! ~ I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~ Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! ~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years.
