This lovely piece was produced by a high-end furniture manufacturer in the late 1940s, early 1950s. A classic chest on chest, it features a smaller bow front set of two drawers on the top which on set over a tradition straight-front three drawer dresser. the front of the base feature serpentine corners are cut from a variety of fruit woods with skillful finger-carved tapering chamfer edges, terminating in bracket feet and incised relief moldings that are echoed a...bove on the smallest drawer. The base dresser also features acanthus and other floral motifs carved into the edges and around the sides. The drawer fronts, sides, and top surface of both sections feature mahogany veneer and the pulls are heavy cast bronze with flaking gilding. This piece measures 52" high, 39" wide, at its broadest point, and 22" deep. It weighs between 100 - 125 lbs. This piece is in very good to excellent condition. It shows only the most minor signs of wear from either age or use. There is one larger chip on the upper corner of the backsplash. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
