Vintage 1930's Oshkosh Chief striped steamer wardrobe trunk. Very good condition with exterior scuffs and marks. Brass hardware. The leather handles are original with serial numbers. The lock flips over but it will not close all the way. The trunk was designed to be opened after rotating the lock mechanism. The interior is clean with light wear; a few marks and small surface scrapes, no stains or odors. Four original wood hangers. The drawers have powder remains along... the bottom. Each drawer has a snap in good working condition. The exterior label is from Cunard's White Star Mediterranean Cruise on the S.S. Carinthia, spring of 1930. There is another small baggage label from Southampton dated 9/29. The travelers initials are stamped on red on the end G.L.G. Merrill, Wisconsin. Oshkosh Trunk Co, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
