Guillaume LAPLAGNE (1870 - 1927) Antique French ART DECO Nude Bronze Egyptian Girl
Item History & Price
This work is called "L'Égyptienne" and is possibly part of the Egyptian Revival which was set off by the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. The sculpture is about 5 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches wide at the widest point. It is in very good condition with some scratching and wear on the underside where the statue touches a surface, and a small scratch on the right arm which I have photographed. Some minor wear on the raised surfaces.
