Original Description:
This is an exquisite small statue.  The details of things that are hard to sulpt (hands, face, fabric) are amazingly well done.  Color in her robe and her pack, hair ribbon, collar, seems to be an enamel melted into the bronze.   I particularly like the detail on the bottom, the kimono or robe folded under her,   and her feet, details that could easily have been omitted.   
In her right hand, she is holding something, which I would have guessed was... a fan, but part of it seems to have been broken off.  It is a removable item.  She was probably holding a lute, but that was missing when we acquired it.   Made by a very talented person, many years ago.
