Up for auction is a 1937 Detrola antique tube radio model 148E in cube walnut cabinet with claw feet, wrap around wood grill bars and a large stationized dial with "magic eye" in brass escutcheon.This is an 8 tube AM/Police/SW radio with four rotary controls for on/off/volume, tone, band selector and tuning.Radio was recapped, all tubes tested and replaced as needed, controls cleaned and lubricated.New dial light and external antenna were installed.AM reception is good.SW i...s more active late at night and may require an outdoor antenna.Cabinet was cleaned and hand rubbed with Finish Restorer.There are some finish blemishes and small veneer split (see pictures).Grill cloth is clean and intact.Original bullet knobs are present and operate properly.Wood back cover is present.Dimensions are: 18"Lx9"Wx12"H Shipping cost to lower 48 states is $41.00Radio will be securely packed and shipped insured via FedEx Home Delivery.Thank you and good luck!
