Vintage Brunette NO BANGS FRANCIE Barbie Doll On Wrong Body Mattel C1969
Item History & Price
Information:
Original Description:
No Bangs Francie was manufactured in Japan for Mattel circa 1969. She is on the wrong body. Her body is marked ©1965/ Mattel, Inc./ US Patented/US Pat.Pend./Made in Japan" and belongs, I believe, to the bendable leg #1130 Francie doll. Her body has discolored with"yellowed" arms. Her knees click three times and with patience will hold their third position. Her ankles and feet suffer pin pricks and a dig line (right foot). Her body could use a cleani...ng. No Bang Francie's head has discolored with varying shades of pale to darker "yellowish." Her skin tone is darker along its hairline. Francie retains brown brows, amber brown eyes with inserted lashes, a bit of blush, and pink lips (paint loss to lower lip). Her unevenly cut lashes have thinned with some crumpling to the right lashes. Her eyeliner is worn, more notably along her upper right eye. The tip of her nose has lightened too. Francie's hair has been washed and remains full with minimal missing plugs. Not sure if it has been cut-- Francie is wearing "The Entertainer" #1763. Though bright pink with ecru lace, it will require repair. Two seams have split, one at the outfit's front neckline just below its collar and the other around her left underarm area. If you are skilled in the restoration of early Francie dolls, you may enjoy this No Bangs Francie. She is a pretty doll with her dark brunette hair and is certainly harder to find!
