DESCRIPTION: Old Original SAMFREDO Cigar Label - SAM'L I. DAVIS Y CA. - Gold EAGLE & GRIFFIN. Scarce label.
SIZE: Measures approximately 6 x 7 inches
CONDITION: Good with some creasing (two harder creases in each top corner), foxing or handling marks, and most likely trimmed down some. Has a number written on the back in pencil that can be seen from the front if held up to the light.
Guaranteed old and original. These ci...gar box labels are great pieces of history and are very collectable. They were originally intended to be put either on the inside lid or the outside of a cigar box but due to the decline of cigar smoking in the early 1900's, never made it on one. They come in a vast variety of subject matter and were printed on high quality paper and in most cases, the printing was stone lithography.
