Japanese Edo Period Samurai Kozuka with Kogatana - Karakos Pulling Treasure WagonThis is a finely crafted JapaneseEdo Period Kozuka with Kogatana for Samurai Wakizashi.  The Kozuka is decorated with high relief copper engravings depicting several Karakos pulling a heavy loaded Treasure Wagon.A Kozuka is a small utility knife that used to be carried by Samurai in the packet of the saya or scabbard of a sword mounting.  Actually the handl...e of this utility knife is called Kozuka, and the blade is called Kogatana.This Kogatana is unsigned.  DIMENSIONSKozuka and Blade:  7.6 inches (19.4cm) long Kozuka:  3.75 inches long and 0.56 inches (1.4cm) wideBlade:  Four inches (10cm) longWeight:  1.0 ouncesBoth Kozuka and Kogatana are in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.  About Us:We prefer payment by Paypal.
